Serving the Community with VAC: A Day of Care and Connection
Toyota of Hernando was proud to support the Vietnamese American Community (VAC) in Memphis on October 6, 2024, as part of a meaningful community event focused on health, service, and connection. VAC is a Memphis-based organization dedicated to supporting and strengthening the Vietnamese American community through cultural, educational, and community-centered initiatives.
On that Sunday, VAC partnered with Walgreens and Sacred Heart Church to host a free flu vaccine event for the community at Sacred Heart Church in Memphis. The event ran from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and free flu shots were offered for ages 6 and older regardless of insurance status.
Events like this are about more than just showing up. They are about meeting real needs, supporting families, and helping make community resources more accessible. It was a great example of different organizations coming together to create something practical and meaningful for the people they serve. The event also reflected VAC’s broader mission of building a stronger, more connected community in Memphis.
Toyota of Hernando is always grateful for opportunities to be involved in events that make a real difference. Being part of a day centered on care, wellness, and community support is something we are proud of, and we appreciate the work VAC continues to do across the Mid-South.
If you want, I can also make this one sound a little more celebratory and less formal to better match the tone of your other event blogs.
